Tugade: Train System Sets to Link Clark in Metro Manila

Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga is indeed unstoppable when it comes to its growth and development. After Atty. Arthur Tugade (former president of Clark Development Corporation) was appointed as the new (DOTr) Secretary under the Duterte government, plans for improving and developing Clark to be the alternate global gateway outside of Metro Manila were set to take place during President Duterte’s 6 years term.

It was mentioned on Duterte’s first weeks in service about his plans of reviving the train project that will be connected in Clark Pampanga. On a free wifi service launching in Clark International Airport, that was attended by Secretary Tugade, he mentioned on his speech that A railway plan for Clark is ready for presentation this month to the (NEDA).

“He wants the train to Clark to be finished under his term. Building a train system cannot be rushed. Perhaps the construction may take three to four years. But at least the approval from the President to build the infrastructure is already there,” Tugade said.

This railway system is also designed to help decongest the unceasing heavy traffic situation inside Metro Manila. Clark International Airport will also soon to open and accommodate additional international flights to also help the decongestion of Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila

Once this train system and Airport improvements transpires, Clark will surely open more job opportunities and provide a more conducive business environment for more investors.
