WATCH: TTKD will be the Philippines’ Next Major Festival
Thousands of locals and tourists flocked Balibago street to witness the 2-day fun-filled festivity.
The venue was crowded with stalls full of various activities and sumptuous Kapampangan cuisine coupled with promos of unlimited beer.
OPM artists and musical acts filled the streets with excitement and all-night-entertainment.
Angeles city vice mayor Bryan Nepomuceno uncovered future plans for the TTKD annual celebration. They plan of making it even bigger and putting a household team that can match other big provincial fiestas in Cebu, Bacolod and Baguio City.
Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan, who spearheaded the first TTKD in 1992 said this year’s festivity will be his last celebration as the city’s head since he is about to step down of office next year.
He also believes that the next leader will continue what he started in TTKD as it commemorates the Angeleno’s resiliency and triumphs amidst the 1991 Pinatubo adversity.
