Yokohama strikes anew at CILA bowling tourney
Trailing behind Yokohama was SMK Electronics Philippines, Corporation. Viskase and PTT Philippines, Corp. landed on second and third runners up.
The first bowling matches were held earlier in July, with 18 different corporations in Clark fielding their best bowlers.
In spite of two consecutive victories, Yokohama President Hitoshi Kobayashi said their team relied only on solid cooperation.
“We continue to work form eight to five. Then after work, they go here (SM Clark) to practice,” Hitoshi said, reminding aspiring challengers to double their efforts in the next bowling tourney.
The four winning teams received trophies and cash prizes. They will also be honored on the next CILA general membership meeting (GMM) on September 2017.
Though CILA’s main thrust is to create a vibrant business environment in Clark, it organizes athletic events to strengthen the bond among Clark community members. It can also be recalled that CILA successfully hosted last June a golf tournament to benefit some economically disadvantaged individuals.
