WATCH: TUP Students Visit Flood Control Asia

CLARK FREEPORT ZONE, PAMPANGA – Some 250 civil engineering students from the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) visited the Flood Control Asia (FCA) facility on January 15, 2019 as part of an educational program tour.

According to TUP’s Civil Engineering Department Head, Engr. Juan Paulo Bersamina, the purpose of their tour is to expose the students to new and innovative technology that would be beneficial to their chosen field of career later on in life.

The whole tour consisted of morning and afternoon sessions where the students were divided into six batches. Flood Control Asia’s Head of Marketing, Mr. Alvin Baking, started with a presentation and a talk regarding the company’s brief history and the German Technology flood control systems. The students were then showed around and were given the opportunity to witness first hand how the systems work.

Among the products presented was the RS Inero™ Mobile Flood Barrier which is the first and only one of its kind to be made available in the country as of the present.

An exchange of insights and questions between the students and FCA’s technical team happened right after the presentation to further educate the group regarding the flood control systems.
