Indigent Students Benefited from Bike to School Project in Angeles City

Bike to School project was launched on July 1, 2016 at the Sto. Domingo Integrated School by the Department of Education Angeles Division leaded by the School’s Division Superintendent Leilani Samson Cunan, in cooperation with the different stakeholders in the City. The said project aims to help indigent students in Angeles City, Pampanga who doesn’t have the means to go to school everyday and whose homes are situated in far flung areas and needs to walk for more than an hour just to be in school. The project was patterned in a DepEd national project which is the Pedals and Paddles.

This advocacy of the DepEd and their stakeholders brought a lot of joy and encouragement to the benefited students from different schools in Angeles City. But what made the project more uplifting, is seeing the felicity and relief from the parents of the beneficiaries, that right after that day, their children will no longer walk their way to school.
