Local Rescue Units Get Hands-on Experience in a Flood Control Application Training
Flood Control Asia RS Corp. successfully launched its Flood Control Application Training following the completion of the Flood Protection project for the Masantol Main Health Center (MMHC) in Pampanga, Philippines on June 10, 2021.
The event took place at the Masantol Municipal Hall in Pampanga, Philippines, and the RS Flood Experts spearheaded it.
The local rescue units from the Municipality of Masantol were present as they certainly are the first responders in the events of typhoons and flooding in the area.
Headed by Engr. Jonathan Tato of RS, the ceremony began with a water test demo on the RS Demountable Flood Barriers. He also demonstrated how to operate the newly installed flood barriers within their area of responsibility.
Luisito Guintu, the representative of Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices of Masantol said that the training gave him and his team some insights on how they can improve their response to natural disasters, especially floods since it’s one of the major problems in the said province.
Actually, Flood Control Asia [RS Corp.] trained us well. The flood control system from them is well done. The patients of our Main Health Center really need it.
Above all, the participants underwent actual training by conducting a real-time activity on installing and dismounting the RS Demountable Flood Barriers.
