Thirteen projects were added to “Build, Build, Build” (BBB), the flagship program initiated by the Duterte Administration paving way for important infrastructure projects amid the country’s CoVid-19 situation.
President and CEO of Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and Deputy Chief Implementer of National Action against CoVid-19 Vince Dizon said in an interview that they are now focusing on digital economy, water projects like the Rehabilitation and Improvement of National Irrigation Sector, as well as the healthcare system.
Dizon cites the importance of the digital economy, highlighting the Broadband Luzon Project that will improve the broadband connectivity in the northern part of the country. Infrastructure in Baler, Aurora, and La Union was already built with the joint efforts of the Department of Information and Communications Technology, BCDA, and social media giant Facebook.
Another addition is the plan to establish a Virology Institute in Clark, Pampanga which will serve as a center for disease control prompted by the Department of Science and Technology. #
