Feasibility Study on Subic – Clark Freight Train to Conclude This Year

The China Harbor Engineering Co. Ltd. (CHEC) are conducting a feasibility study for the proposed freight train linking Subic and Clark which will be expected to be completed by the third semester of the year.

“The feasibility study for the Subic-Clark Railway project being conducted by China Harbor Engineering Co. Ltd. (CHEC) is now underway,” the SBMA said in an emailed statement.

The international contractor CHEC provides services in engineering-procurement-construction (EPC), build-operate-transfer (BOT), and public-private-partnership (PPP).

The Subic-Clark railway Transit Project is said to be part of the P100-billion elevated coastal highway and railway system linking Subic to Clark Economic Zone and the Port of Manila. The project is also expected to be done before Duterte administration’s end.
