German Community holds round table talks in Clark

CLARKTON HOTEL, BALIBAGO – Ten German entrepreneurs attended the first German Club round table discussion held at the Clarkton Hotel, Angeles City last August 24.

They represented the various business establishments currently located in the Philippines. Among the businesses they represent are from the manufacturing, real estate, printing, brewery, solar power sector and hotel establishment.

They came to discuss the various concerns of establishing a business enterprise here in the country and also how to encourage more German investors to come to the Philippines. The discussion was headed by Peter Kompalla, executive director of German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Dr. Andreas Klippe, President and CEO of DR. KLIPPE Philippines Corporation.

“We have learned a lot from this first German round table discussion,” said executive director Peter Kompalla of the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, “ It gives us an eye on everything that is happening here not only in Clark Freeport Zone but also the interesting history how the German businessmen were able to set up a business here.”

“This will provide us a platform for the foreign investors to regularly discuss how to conduct business in the country and foremost of all to promote the Philippines as a business hub in Asia.”

“We were able to convince 10 German entrepreneurs to attend the first ever round table discussion here at the Clarkton Hotel,” said Dr. Andreas Klippe. “We have learned the different approaches to do business in the Philippines. With Philippine President Duterte’s plans for Clark Freeport Zone like the Clark International Airport and the New Clark City will result a lot of investors coming here.”
